"Gegum, please escort 'Rinpoche' out for me!" After the Living Buddha sat down, he said to the middle-aged lama. Since he couldn't see through Xiao Yu and there was nothing special about him, he let the middle-aged lama send him off. After all, a Living Buddha isn’t someone anyone can meet with, and besides, he wasn’t willing to give Xiao Yu an empowerment ceremony.

Furthermore, this particular Living Buddha could be said to be very famous in Tibet. All of the current Living Buddhas in Tibet had been his disciples at some point, receiving guidance from him to become true Living Buddhas.

Hence, he was known as the 'Teacher of Living Buddhas.' Knowing that Xiao Yu wasn’t a threat to his body, there was no reason for him to keep Xiao Yu around any longer.

When Xiao Yu came out, Dai Yuxin had just stood up. When she saw Xiao Yu walk out from the corridor, she hurried over and asked worriedly, "Master, are you alright"

"Heh heh, I'm fine, I went to see the Living Buddha," said Xiao Yu with a light laugh.

"Ahh, Master is too mean, not even letting me go along when meeting the Living Buddha. I also wanted to have a look at what a Living Buddha looks like!" Dai Yuxin pouted her lips and looked at him pitifully after hearing Xiao Yu’s words.

"Heh heh, okay then. The Living Buddha is old and needs his rest," said Xiao Yu with a light laugh as he saw Dai Yuxin's expression.

Indeed, Living Buddha Sangba was close to the end of his life. He had at most one or two years left before he would pass on, so these next couple of years were probably the critical moment for him preparing for reincarnation. Thus, Xiao Yu didn’t feel right about bringing Dai Yuxin along to disturb the Living Buddha.

"Oh… alright then," said Dai Yuxin disappointedly as she heard Xiao Yu’s words.

After saying that, they walked down the stairs together. The middle-aged lama ran back into the room after seeing them leave, but just a moment later he rushed out again.

"The two 'Rinpoches,' please wait! Please wait!" Seeing Xiao Yu and his companions already at the main gate of the Jokhang Temple, the middle-aged lama called out to them.

Hearing Gegum’s shout, they stopped walking and turned around.

The middle-aged lama hurried down from upstairs as soon as he saw Xiao Yu and his companions stop. The Tibetan people who were prostrating and turning prayer wheels in the courtyard looked at him curiously when they heard him shouting.

"What's the matter with Guru Gegemu" Xiao Yu was curious and asked the middle-aged lama who had run down from upstairs.

"Rinpoche, this prayer wheel is a gift from His Holiness Basang to this young Rinpoche. It serves as an introductory present!" Upon hearing Xiao Yu's question, the middle-aged lama took out a prayer wheel and handed it to Dai Yuxin.

Dai Yuxin looked at the prayer wheel being passed to her and glanced at Xiao Yu, waiting for his response.

Xiao Yu, upon hearing the words of this middle-aged lama, also turned his gaze towards the prayer wheel in the lama's hand. This prayer wheel was surrounded by a thick aura of aspirations that seemed to possess some spiritual nature. If Dai Yuxin were to carry it with her, it would be greatly beneficial to his character.

Therefore, after a moment’s hesitation, Xiao Yu nodded at Dai Yuxin in agreement. He could roughly guess why His Holiness wanted to give something to Dai Yuxin and thus readily agreed without much deliberation.

Although there wasn't much interaction between the Lamaism Living Buddha and the Qimen Cultivators on the mainland, it was still important to build good relations. Besides, Dai Yuxin had excellent potential and her achievements were immeasurable; hence, at His Holiness's level of cultivation and within his territory, he could easily ascertain her talent.

Dai Yuxin happily accepted this prayer wheel, looking at it with excitement as she felt the purification it brought to her soul.

"Young Rinpoche, this prayer wheel has been a personal item of His Holiness since he entered Jokhang Temple. It's already over a hundred years old and has been consecrated by His Holiness, so don’t give it to anyone else or let others touch it!"

Seeing Dai Yuxin accept the prayer wheel, the middle-aged lama solemnly reminded her of its importance. After speaking, he couldn't hide his envy.

It was known that this prayer wheel had been His Holiness's personal item since entering Jokhang Temple. In principle, such an item should have been left for his reincarnated successor; hence, it wasn’t hard to understand why he felt envious giving it to a complete stranger.

After receiving the gift, Dai Yuxin said to the middle-aged lama: "Guru, please convey my gratitude to His Holiness."

"Yes, I will definitely pass along your thanks," replied the middle-aged lama respectfully and then returned upstairs.

The Tibetans in the courtyard had heard their conversation very clearly. After the middle-aged lama left, when they looked at the prayer wheel in Dai Yuxin's hand, a trace of respect appeared on their faces—the personal item of His Holiness was holy to them.

Though they were envious, none of them showed jealousy or greed; rather, there was only respect—respect for His Holiness’s prayer wheel, not for Dai Yuxin.

Dai Yuxin could now feel the benefits this prayer wheel brought to him. It allowed his mind to remain calm and undisturbed by external factors, making it an invaluable aid in cultivation.

Dai Yuxin saw the middle-aged lama enter a room on the second floor and paid respects to the room before leaving.

Xiao Yu and Dai Yuxin left Jokhang Temple and visited several other temples, but they didn't see any signs of the Living Buddha.

After visiting all the temples in Sa City, it gradually got dark. Seeing this, the two returned to their hotel.

In the evening, both stayed at the hotel to rest up for tomorrow's journey to Mount Everest. Even though someone would meet them at the base camp of Mount Everest, the hermitage of the elderly person was in a mid-mountain area of Mount Everest where few people ventured and there was no industry, making it ideal for spiritual practice.

However, ordinary cultivators couldn't survive here due to its harsh conditions that are hard for outsiders to imagine. Even Wang Xiong might struggle.

The next morning, Xiao Yu and the others left their hotel and boarded a bus heading towards the base camp of Mount Everest.

Xiao Yu closed his eyes as soon as he sat on the bus to meditate while Dai Yuxin appeared energetic, frequently looking out the window.

After some time, more passengers got onto the bus and it started moving slowly towards the outskirts of Sa City.

"What is Master doing" When Xiao Yu's vehicle reached an open area and saw a group carrying a white bag heading up a hillside, Dai Yuxin asked curiously.

Her voice was loud enough for others in the bus to look outside upon hearing it.

Hearing her question, Xiao Yu slowly opened his eyes and looked out. Seeing the people and the white bag made him frown slightly. He had seen that the white bag contained a corpse earlier.

"Sky burial! This is a sky burial procession!" Suddenly, an exclamation rang inside the bus.

Hearing this, Xiao Yu immediately understood what was going on. Although he hadn't witnessed a sky burial before, he had heard about it and thus instantly comprehended its meaning upon hearing the words.

Upon hearing these words, everyone in the vehicle suddenly stood up to look outside; none of them had ever seen a sky burial with their own eyes despite having heard about it.

These people came to the Tibetan region out of curiosity about its mysteries, and sky burial is one of the most mysterious practices. Upon hearing about it, they all stood up eagerly wanting to take a look.

"Driver, can you stop for a moment We want to have a look!" The person who had just mentioned the sky burial addressed the bus driver.

Heard this request, the driver chuckled and replied: "Sorry, no. You guys haven’t been here before; sky burial is one of the most sacred rituals in Tibet. No outsiders are allowed to witness it."

The driver was a Han Chinese but had lived in the region for over a decade. He’d heard many stories about such events from locals even though he hadn’t witnessed an actual sky burial himself.

When they heard this, everyone on the bus sighed in disappointment. They were unable to witness something so rarely seen elsewhere, and it left them feeling let down.

Xiao Yu’s group was following a jeep which was driving as slowly as a snail, likely observing the local Tibetans walking along the roadside.

Since their bus couldn’t overtake this vehicle despite it not being in the middle of the road, they could only follow closely behind. This way, they were able to witness more of the sky burial procession.

As the group performing the sky burial got further away and Xiao Yu's bus didn't move much forward, he turned to Dai Yuxin: "Yuxin, please protect me; don’t let anyone touch me."

Dai Yuxin, who was intently watching the procession, suddenly heard Xiao Yu’s voice. She froze momentarily but quickly responded as she knew there had to be a reason for his request.

She focused entirely on protecting Xiao Yu, ensuring no one would disturb him while he sat still with eyes closed.

When Xiao Yu closed his eyes, his spirit left his body and floated towards the sky burial procession. Having never witnessed such a practice himself, he wished to observe it closely.

In ancient times, Buddha sacrificed parts of His own flesh for eagles; this act inspired Tibetans’ practice of sky burials as they believed it brought them closer to their deity.

Xiao Yu’s spirit followed the group to a hill where there was an elevated platform called the 'sky burial ground'. A few individuals among those present ascended the hill, while others waited below. The ones carrying the deceased up the hill were not ordinary Tibetans but monks specifically responsible for performing sky burials.lowly towards the small garden in the center of the villa complex.Xiao Yu drove to Shenzhen Airport.
